Why Symptoms Aren’t Normal
Before your body screams, it whispers what it needs. If you can learn how to listen to your body's cues, you can avoid a lot of discomfort in the future. Symptoms aren't normal and need to be addressed.
Think about a time you were tired and should've gone to bed, but didn't. You probably didn't get the best night's sleep, but you might not have paid close enough attention to notice. Or a time that you were hungry, but so caught up in the task that you were doing that you forgot to eat for a few more hours. Then, you felt exhausted, lightheaded and maybe a bit hangry. These are all small moments where we can fall out of integrity with our mind-body connection. Now this isn't necessarily harmful.
When compounded over months, years, maybe even decades, our mind-body connection can fall so out of tune that we can get extreme symptoms seemingly out of nowhere. Think of symptoms like debilitating migraines, weight gain or resistance to weight loss, not being able to get out of bed in the morning… These are all signs we need to change something.
If we don’t change something, we’ll keep experiencing the same symptoms and in the worst case fall into the cycle of chronic illness.
Creating balance between diet, rest, exercise, and stress reduction are the main categories I work with clients on to help them get their health back on track. Targeted supplementation is the final piece of the puzzle as an added boost of support, but really only once the first four categories are in balance will supplements make a difference! As a functional health coach and FDNP, I help fatigued women get their energy back so that they can lose that extra belly fat and keep it off for good. If this sounds like you, I’d love to chat!
